Maintaining Online Anonymity (a little help)
« on: September 01, 2017, 11:38:35 PM »
So, full disclosure, I'm using a VPN to hide my IP.

I actually learned it from this site (although I can't seem to find the original posting at the moment). Anyways, I'm not too tech savy. But there are a couple things I want to do online while still remaining anonymous.

I was wondering if someone here can answer a few questions for me.

So straight to the point, I want to upload videos to direct download sites like rapidgator, uploaded, k2s etc.
I know how that sounds, but trust me, the videos aren't as bad as you think (I may even post it here when I get it done). The only law I may hypothetically be breaking would be copyright infringement. And maybe libel.

But I digress. The point is. I want to upload stuff and I want to hide myself. Will a VPN protect me when I upload to sites like rapidgator?

It's fine with RavishU if you wish to use a VPN. However, we are no longer a file-sharing site, so when you've resolved whatever you're trying to do please note that sharing links will be deleted. See Lois's (our site owner) statement pinned at the top of the movie discussion page. We also not keen on legal problems resulting from copyright or libel issues (though copyright for non-private individuals can be a gray area).
The rumors about me are scurrilous, depraved rantings of a sick mind, and I categorically deny any sense of falsehood attributed to them.

Yeah, I'm talking mostly celebrities. But then again this is all HYPOTHETICAL. But thanks for the heads up, it's duly noted ;)

Use Tor. It's much safer than using a VPN. The backside is, ravishu will throw a bunch of messages like these at you, lol

Not Acceptable!

Sorry, we're blocking hack attempts, and that includes all access from 'server farms'
that don't follow up on internet abuse reports. If you're trying to come in through
a proxy hosted on one of these malicious 'server farms' then you'll have to choose a
different proxy on a server that DOES respect the rules.
