"I'm sorry to hear that," I said sincerely. "If I told you I could relate, I doubt you'd believe me. But I can. I've wanted someone a long time, since I first heard her voice, not having seen her yet. I knew I'd never have a shot with her, she was famous, me, I'm just a mere mortal. No one could replace her as far as I'm concerned. Then my cousin, who isn't just a mere mortal, meets her, they fell in love, and now they're engaged."
Katy gasped.
"Me? Really?"
I nodded.
"I know you realize how your fans feel about you. I'm no different. I just was lucky to have gotten to meet you, Katy."
"No, I'm the lucky one, tall drink of water. I love your cousin, but the moment I saw you, I knew you were everything that he wasn't. But I didn't know how to tell you, then I got preggers, and I was tied to your cousin irrevocably. Now he can't stand the sight of me . . ." She said sadly.
"His loss. You are so beautiful pregnant. I guess it's true what they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"I wonder how he'll feel about me when I'm old . . ." Katy mumbled.
"Don't even think about it. You're having a baby, you should be happy about that."
Katy smiled.
"And I'm with someone who cares about me. I am happy for the moment."
"What will will make you happy longer?" I asked.
"Sex," She grinned naughtily.
