That pretty frightening for anyone but especially more so for ladies having to work alone going to different locations, not knowing what’s waiting for you.  Nearest help could be miles away.  Many of these assailants are armed too.  Similar incidents concerning delivery workers including FedEx, UPS, Amazon etc. being assaulted, robbed are occurring pretty frequent now.  Not sure what solutions are  other than being careful & be aware of your surroundings.

Yes, all those types of jobs can be dangerous for women. Uber drivers also put themselves in very vulnerable positions. You're letting complete strangers into your vehicle!

Good job the attacker didn't have the wit to throw her phone out.

Obviously this was her 'back up plan' which sort of worked but could easily have gone very much worse for her.

The chaos and lawlessness will only expand as inner cities are abandoned by both people and businesses.
As more and more people struggle to make ends meet, the greater the risks they will run.

I guess this won't work other places but here you don't need a permit to keep a loaded pistol in the glove box or center console. Uber might not like it but fuck em. I don't normally keep one in the car unless the situation warrants it but I would if I was driving ubers.

I've also noticed some delivery drivers having a friend/relative accompany them while they are working.
