Hello all and it’s been awhile but time to post some tracks of my past!

Back in the mid 90s, it wasn’t just all the Spice Girls that ruled the waves in Britain. We also had a revolution in the form of Britpop, and it was loud, alight and sexy for a young girl who was starting to have crushes on the music scene.

Two of those band had an aggressive rivalry, which led to some in the schoolyards picking sides like football teams. For me I liked both so it was just a feast to my ears and an excuse to be rebellious to my parents who thought they were trash, though my father did say Oasis could play their instruments.

It’s Oasis and Blur and I loved both, though only seem Blur live.

Oasis came from Manchester, the centre of British rock music back in the late 80s and early 90s. They were nitty gritty, arrogant, and had no problem telling how they felt. Incorporating working class values to their sound. Though he’s a compete and utter twat, I had a crush on Liam Gallagher.

Blur on the other hand were the middle class  ‘posh boys’ clean cut and from London, boys you could bring around to your nan for dinner Sunday dinner lol
They were class live and today much as I love Oasis, I prefer Blur now.

It was a great time to be a kid in England then, and this new age though short lived was part of it.

Welcome to Britpop.

First is Charmless Man by Blur

Oasis Shakermaker

Blur Country House

Oasis She’s Electric

Blur Girls and Boys

Oasis Champagne Supenova( my favorite Oasis track)

Enjoy xxx

Ah yes Britpop a genre that was pretty well ignored here in Canada. Oasis was popular enough to seel out minor arenas but blur never got higher than a club act. Even the video shows pretty well only played "Wonderwall"  and "Song2"
Personally never really got into either band, they were good but never impressed me enough to listen constantly to!

Brian Eno- An Ending

No matter what you are feeling, how bad it can be. Music will never die, and ll things good and bad will come to an end one day.
I first discovered this masterpiece when I was 13.

Very easy to see why BBC Nature uses a lot of his music to highlight their documentaries!

What an utterly peaceful song!
I could rape your pussy, but I'd be in and out in a few minutes. So I choose to rape your mind, and I'll be inside you forever!
