Please help me identify the reason why I can't use the search function.

It says that "You are not allowed to search posts in this forum". Is this because I look like a new user? I've been here for quite a while though I am not active. I've made my very first post and kind of updated my profile just so I don't look like someone suspicious or along those lines. What should I do in order to be able to use the function?

Minimum number of posts, etc.? I am unaware of any requirements.

EDIT: Ah sorry, I posted on the wrong part of the forum and saw the answer that I'm looking for thanks. Please delete thread if necessary. Do the remove message part deletes the entire thing, I don't know.

So there are two contradictory information here. The one that I saw from the Questions and Announcements part says that the search function is not going to be restored anymore.

This new link says that you can finally use the function after you made 5 posts. Which of the two is accurate?

So far I've been using Google search but I'm a bit unsatisfied and realized that I need to start engaging more on this site if I'm going to start be motivated to write a story or two.

Many find the five post rule blocks them but once number six clicks in place they can search freely. Myself, I used Google and add "on Ravishu.com". Of course you can always post a request for things and hope that someone replies to your post!

I do understand why we want to get new users to actually invest in the forum and post, also there are other things unlocked too with various post count limits. So it is worth posting to get those unlocked (at least it is true on the sister site on KB). I know it is hard when one is a lurker to do that though.

All that said the rules of the forum is rather scattered and not really consolidated into one place, it would be nice if that was changed, so the actual most recent rules for everything were in one place, or at least one thread that links to the latest information, and I don't even know where all the rules are and what is the most accurate latest information on that.

Oh, the same thing works with KB? That's interesting. Hmmmm, I'm also a lurker there, I might have to start to do some posting so that I can unlock stuff. So, there's also other things to unlock beyond the 5 post minimum?

There's also stuff for 50 or 100 posts? That's interesting.

I don't have any issues with it, honestly. It's a good way to make people more invested to be honest.

That would be nice. When I first tried searching, I thought the function was broken. Luckly I was able to find this thread discussing the issue.
