What's the best or your favorite home invasion story you ever read or of a family taken hostage?

I remember a House of Horrors: Kidnapped episode where a woman had her house invaded. Not so big of a story, but cool nonetheless.

A few years back, I wrote a home invasion story with my wife as the star.  In the story she "entertained" 4 prison escapees that stumbled across our home on the night of their escape and were needing a place to hide out for a week.

I would say that would be my favorite, not because my writing is any good, but it was a fun fantasy to indulge in imagining my wife in that scenario.  Im sure someone else could do the subject matter much more justice than i did, but i still occasionally like to come back to it.

A quick follow up on this topic, since its been a few years, i would like to try my hand at another one.

For those that like this genre, does it matter for you in regards to who the people are that are doing the 'home invasion'

My favorite stories in the past have often involved single mothers and one or more sons--but I can also definitely run with a story involving a complete nuclear family, assuming of course that the son and daughter are both over 18.

Who would then have to have sex with whom? Would the rapists do the women, or would the family have to have sex with each other?

For me, the next step would be that everyone, after stripping nude, would be tied up in chairs except the more attractive of the women, who would be tied to the bed and raped while the other three family members were forced to watch.

I definitely like any story to be fairly realistic so I'm a bit concerned about the idea of a Christmas home invasion. The guy most often accused of staging Christmas home invasions turns out not to actually exist. In your scenario the home invaders would need to have a reason why they would believe the family dropping out of communication on Christmas Eve/Day would not attract suspicion. What happens when Grandma calls her daughter/son-in-law to wish everyone a merry Christmas and no one answers the phone? Might Grandma then get a little suspicious?

Even in real life, Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka thought it best to keep rape in the family over Christmas. Though they raped and sometimes murdered strangers, when it came time for a Christmas rape, they stayed at home and did it to Tammy (Karla's own sister). Infamously and tragically, Tammy did not survive the experience.

However I definitely like the idea of the father and son both getting hard ons. I would then make the females choose who they are going to have to fuck.

Again on the Christmas theme there would need to be an unusual angle for it to be somewhat realistic over Christmas. In the 2006 remake of Black Christmas (I haven't seen either the 1974 original or the second 2019 remake) the girls are attacked in a sorority house over Christmas. This works because a sorority house is somewhere you'd expect (unlike a family home) to be quite deserted for Christmas with girls heading home for Christmas. When some of the girls are then delayed heading home due to a snowstorm, it creates an unexpected opportunity for Billy and Agnes Lenz, the main antagonists of the film.

So basically I think you need some kind of angle to make it work as a Christmas attack. Maybe, as with Black Christmas 2006, the family is getting ready to leave for Grandma's when the invasion happens. Grandma lives a long ways away, so everyone is expecting the family to be on a plane and out of contact for an extended time. This gives the rapist many many hours to have his fun, so to speak.

This has become my favorite realistic rape setting. Lots of inspiration ripped from the headlines. So much kinkier and sadistic than a quick rape in a dark alley. Hours and hours for the sadistic bastards to come up with new tortures.

Hm, I did two break-in stories and they are both here. Sexy Tales #01 has a break-in into a school dormitory and Sexy Tales #08 has one where the rapist breaks into a manor owned by the victim.
Also, I'm writing another break-in story.
They are fun because it's cool to surprise the victim, like grabbing her from behind or having her wake up from sedation close to be raped.

Break-ins are always fun to write, specially if you know the layout of the place you're working with. I develop my own layouts in regards to houses and places, although some I take from residence planning sites and house rental sites.
