Today, March 29, well-known Canadian singer/songwriter, Terry Jacks, turns 80! Along with his wife, Susan, they formed the popular group, The Poppy Family, and had a string of hits through the late 60s and early 70s. He and Susan divorced in 1973 and The Poppy Family broke up. In 1974, Terry wrote a song for the Beach Boys, but then decided he would record and release it himself. That song was the iconic "Seasons in the Sun", which has become a Canadian pop classic and the biggest song of Terry's career.
HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY TERRY!
