Canadian Music

So many people have no idea that Canada has home grown talent. Some never made it outside of Canada or got radio play! With this topic I'm planning to highlight such artists  beginning with 1980, the year I really got heavily into music. All genres will get covered, but this first post will be some of my personal favorites from 1980

Martha And The Muffins- Echo Beach

Anne Murray- Could I Have This Dance

Prism- Young And Restless

Doug And The Slugs- Too Bad

Teenage Head- Something On My Mind

The Powder Blues Band- Doing It Right (this one is presented by Terry David Mulligan, a top VJ for Canada's Much Music when it launched, until her moved to Toronto, he was covering Western Canada through Manitoba)

included in this one is Ray, Goodman and brown with their hit "Special Lady" at the 3:25 minute mark!

Please feel free to show us your favorite artists or group from Canada!
