When I was running the contest, I wanted to figure out a way to acknowledge the monthly winners on the subject line of their stories. Of course, as far as I can tell, the only way to do so requires the writer to put Monthly Winner and the month and year behind the title. Seems a bit self-aggrandizing if I do it myself. I mean, modest and shouting "I'm the winner" don't go hand in hand. I wanted to this to have the visitors see at glance stories that had one here. Yes we have limited voting, limited participation, still we don't have bad entries in this contest.
My idea is also, it promotes the winners other stories, it will encourage other people to participate, and hopefully will encourage more voting.
