Paul Verhoeven is once again stirring up Cannes with a lesbian nun movie, so I thought I would check out one of his I hadn’t seen, which is Elle. It’s available on Amazon Prime. The film opens with a woman being raped on her living room floor by a masked assailant. The rape is repeated throughout the film with a little more detail in each one. Turns out maybe he was not so unknown after all! Anyone see it?
