Most of the Eighties videos were still in the stages where companies didn't really understand what a decent video could do for artists, especially newcomers. Something they learned big time when Madonna appeared on the scene!
The nineties the attitude was the kids will watch anything so who cares about spending big money on videos!
Most of the music was good and few bought an artists based on the videos they saw!
