Very interesting! this is my first experience with Chap-hop and i liked it. it reminded me of something Sir Terry Pratchett would do in his "Discworld" novel series! Going to look into chap-hop more!

With a name like Anjali and the looks of some of the people in the video, I'm presuming this is East Indian? Either way, I liked it.

That's fair. I know there are some songs in my collection that will put people off; it's the reason why I've put off putting up one trip-hop song and the sole crunkcore song in my collection.

But today, I'm going to share with everyone a collection of songs I have for when I need a bit of a pick-me-up...or a keep-me-up (not that kind of keep-me-up!). It's my Happy Song collection. (I apologise in advance if any of these songs grate.)

Orange Caramel - Catallena

Spiderbait - Glockenpop (yes, I understand the irony of this song being in here)

Pharrell Williams - Happy

The Kooks - Junk of the Heart (Happy)

Hayzi Fantaysee- Shiny Shiny

Sakura Gakuin - Song for Smiling

Dornik - Strong

A great collections of song. I find most K-pop is so upbeat and most of the ladies are super easy on the eyes!

I'll make sure to post some more in future contributions, then.

Now. I know not everyone likes emo; that's okay, not do I. However, this song I appreciate the musicality of. It's not just chords and four-on-the-floor; there's some style to this, like they put a lot of love and energy into it. Not sure on what the lyrics are about, mind.

A Fire Inside (AFI) - The Leaving Song Part II

Personally didn't like the slap to the head my girlfriend gave me for not introducing her to that one! (remind me to transfer that slap where it belongs!) Song was great in her ears, when the ringing in my head stops I might be able to comment too!

Okay, let's go in another direction again. This is an Australian band, despite the music style, which is very Bollywood-esque.

This was really good and unlike most emo bands, this singer had a bit of stage presence, not looking like a pimply-faced kid in a t-shirt and jeans, lamenting why he can't get laid.

Okay, I just realised, I'm starting to run out of replies on this page, but also out of embeddings much faster. So I apologise if you don't see the videos themselves here; maybe I should've spread out sharing my happy song playlist.

Nonetheless, with the weekend coming up, let's have some drinking songs.

The Scaffold - Lilly the Pink

Weird Al Yankovic - Beer Song (Not the official clip—I don't think there was one—but the Trigun visuals just work brilliantly with this)

It's been too long since I added a song to this, so I think I'd better. And since Eurovision was not that long ago, I think I'll make it one of my favourite entries ever. No, not ABBA, or Celine Dion, or any of Australia's acts, or even t.A.T.u. for that matter. It's the Polish entry from 2014. And if you ever see the live performance...hoo boy!

Donatan & Cleo - My Słowianie (there is a subbed version of this video, if you want to know what she's singing)

Interesting, very upbeat and lively! Great shots in the video to help prove Slavic charms!

As I said, if you ever get to see the Eurovision performance, you'll see how much of those Slavic charms were on display that night.
