What's the status on these contests?

I think it was put on hiatus after a few less than stellar contests. There are good authors here, but not everyone is keen on nominating or voting anymore (possibly).

Im thinking maybe it should be quarterly contests instead of monthly. Some stories pop late....

We may have to start back off with quarterly comps again, if that's the case. With an annual "final" at the end of the year.

What happened is the lazy mod who ran it got bogged down in personal shit and didn't have the gonads to keep up with it, nor to write much of his own shit or be much of a contributor overall. The bastard.

That said, maybe a quarterly is the way to go. I like that idea, and it would kick in at the end of March. Someone tell that lazy fuck to get back to it.

I really love the stories and contests. If there’s just menial legwork, as it were, to be done, I’d willingly donate some time to help.

To be honest I haven't really paid much attention to this. I mostly stay in my Story Forum, the Blogs Forum and the Game Room Forum. I'd found out by accident, and I was told I'd been nominated in the past, but I know what stories go here and I never expected anything to come of it. I'm happy just to be able to write, get the readers I've gotten and a comment or two. That's good enough for me.
