Here I went and opened the polls and then made no general announcement. Bad SGH!

The number of stories got high this month, so much so that I upped the number of votes and winners in each category. Particularly the Rookie Author Award saw a jump up to 27 eligible stories (Yay!). Trying to pick just one best seems futile.

So I'm imposing a new formula. Knock the rightmost digit off the story count, and that's the number of votes everyone gets, and the number of winners there will be. 27 stories means 2 votes. 54 stories (I think was the total overall) gets 5 votes. This way we're celebrating those writers and authors who are at the tops of their games, without necessarily calling anyone "The" winner.

So enjoying reading and praising for the next couple weeks. I know I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out.

One day left, everybody. This has probably been our biggest turnout yet, and for the largest field of entries. But you can still vote if you haven't already.

By the way, there is a huge tie for fifth in the general stories, so if you've got an extra favorite floating around that you haven't voted for yet, this could be your chance to let it rise to the top.
