there is a difference!
« on: September 26, 2017, 11:04:25 PM »
So I'm coming from a background of having been a glamour model for a good few years. Now let me just point out, there is a difference between a glamour model and a porn star. Sure u do have ladies who do both, but there r some like myself who has never stepped into hardcore -or softcore for that matter, girl boy pornography. Furthermore there r other glamour models who do solo material or material like foot fetishes and non sexual BDSM work :D
I am sick and tired however, of people clumping all models in the industry together which is sooooo inaccurate!
Strong is fighting. Its hard and its painful. And its everyday...The hardest thing to do in this world is to live in it...

So not all Glamour models are Porn models (stars) and not all Porn models (stars) are Glamour models.
But SOME Glamour models ARE Porn models (stars) but NOT ALL and definitely NOT YOU.
Good to know.

Lol ummm my point I suppose is, most people automatically assume all models in the industry r the same, and we r not :) And yes I am most definately not a pornstar! Oh and furthermore, another common assumption that is forwarded is that all models r easy as in promiscuous or have a drink and or drugs problem- again most certainly not true  :emot_kiss.gif: x

I'm afraid the only models I know are either Business, Mathematical or Airfix.

So MC1973 can I assume that being from the U.K. that when you reference Glamour modelling one would include Page three models in The Sun?

Already established that you not Sporty Spice, perchance were you Mel C. of page three fame! (Fingers crossed,  :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif: :emot_thedrool.gif:)

Well stated. Yes a world of difference I am sure.   The fact that you existed as a glamor model can only mean you are a hottie.

most people automatically assume all models in the industry r the same,

Not even the same industries.  Fashion modeling is not porn.  (Also models.)  "Glammour" means different things in different places, but it's basically pinup.  There's also Fetish modeling, which isn't quite porn, but getting closer to the end of that spectrum.

But do all models and actresses encounter the "casting couch?"
So much oppression in our culture is based on shame about sex: the oppression of women, of cultural minorities, oppression in the name of the (presumably asexual) family, oppression of sexual minorities. We are all oppressed. We have all been taught, one way or another, that our desires, our bodies, our sexualities, are shameful. What better way to defeat oppression than to get together in communities and celebrate the wonders of sex?

Shades of grey on a scale. I imagine in some countries even 'fashion modelling' is seen as lewd and obscene and will land you in rpsion or worse.
Equally there is plastic porn that is so beyond realistic, that it becomes almost a satire and in no way erotic.

I've not done shall we say 'public' modelling for quite awhile. Nowadays I do kinda more 'private' shoots and now and again for amateur togs club shoots.
Back in my day there has been the odd tog who tries on the casting couch routine. Think it was more prominent before the 90s. It does still happen nowadays but I'd say its usually harder for the togs to get away with it. Actually, I'd say its increasing more in the foreign private market which thankfully I rarely ever do, not only due to the overtly amorous overtures but also their production values can b quite poor. Nowadays I think there's also far more support to those in the profession, esp when we start blacklisting the unprofessional and dubious togs and companies amongst ourselves. A lot of British models I know they're rather clued up. Furthermore there is now more agencies run by female models for models. xx
