Well, after all my advertising, the time is here. The polls are up, and will stay up for 14 days each, to the minute.

Again, thanks to all who made suggestions. We still have some open issues for next time, which I'm happy to discuss. I know I have some lessons learned already, like learning to use the table function so my list of stories and the links to them aren't all jumbled. Next time I'll also randomly sort the stories, so the gang rapes aren't all clustered at the top, with the consensual all at the bottom.

Hi all. The contest polls are at the halfway point, and we could sure use some more votes. If you had a story you liked, go ahead and give it its due. I'm sure things will pick up in the second week (we close next Saturday afternoon).

At least I hope so. We don't really want to see a five-way tie with one vote each for some of these categories, do we?

I have a feeling it will pick up in the second week. I already spotted more votes roll in. Of course, we'd like a great big voting base in the end. Time will tell.

And by the way, I think some more polling would really help the outcomes. I'll honor the winners regardless, and I have no problem with ties, but as of now one of the categories is in a seven way tie for first place, at 1 each. So if you haven't voted and there was a story or two you really liked, this could be your chance to vault it into a definitive win.
