Does the forum software allow for voting/survey/poll templates with predefined questions? If possible, authors could use that as a quick substitute for a rating system if desired; i.e. the story is great, ok, meh, abysmal etc. ....

Dunno, if people are interested but I guess some authors would like that.

Under certain headings such as "Literature" and "Blogging"  If you look to the far right corner you will see "Post new Poll"  You can put in your own subject and define it pretty much as you wish.

Thank you dark, I already use polls with great enthusiasm. But given there's no rating system for stories available here, I just thought it would be a nice feature for other authors if they could add a predefined rating poll with one or two clicks.

Wow!  What a great idea. 

The forum software does not come with such pre-defined polls.

If someone knows PHP really well they could write a script for such a pre-defined poll though.  It could then be added onto the forum.

We use Simple Machines Forum.  They have a website that provides a variety of add-ons.  They don't seem to have one like this already.
