Hi Emily and others? May I ask [purely out of curiosity], what were your reasons for starting your own site, were you disatisfied with the other boards you frequented? Or was it just the desire to be your own boss?

It's just something I've wanted to do for a long time.  I had some fun ideas I wanted to try out and so here we are.

Also, I've never particullarly liked the word RAPE in the title page.  I think the term 'Ravishment,'  as is Forced-Sex Role Play, is more female friendly.  

I've had persons walk up behind me while posting on RC and exclaim "RAPECLUB!  What is that ?!?!"  

Um, eh .... it's a rape survivors supprt site, yeah ....."

I like the term 'University' because it brings into mind the old Salons or penny universities, being an open forum to discuss ideas in a friendly atmosphere.

I would encourage anyone else who has a vision to start a website to express it.  The internet is a great wide world for free expression and exploration.  

The words of the late Rev. Kirby Hensley come to mind.  Rev. Hensley founded  Universal Life Church in 1959, and became famous for ordaining anyone who wished to be ordained.  His rationale is that we all have something to say, and he was doing his best to make sure everyone could say it.

I also recall the words of Berkeley news reporter Skoop Nisker:  If you don't like the news, go out and make some of your own!

I can verify that Emily has long wanted to do this, I believe we first spoke of it nearly a year ago.  I encouraged her to pursue it because the other site, at the time, was being pretty heavy-handed when it came to the issue of censorship, which is evil under any circumstances, but is particularly inexcusable when used to silence on-topic posts on an adult rape fantasy site.  As far as I can tell, the pro-censorship admin's on the other site have mellowed a bit with the passing of time, but I recently went to add my condonlences to the long list of condolences on El's death, and incredibly, found the thread locked.  This, to me, is the moral equivalant of a funeral director locking the doors at a wake and saying "We've already had too many mourners."  I trust that type of thing could never happen here.  Also, and I've said this before, it's worth pointing out that the mere THREAT of censorship is, in fact, censorship.  If you feel that you must watch what they say in order to avoid being censored, guess what?  You've been censored.  And for what? To avoid somebody's feelings being hurt?  Americans believe in defending to the death a person's right to speak their mind, even when we disagree with them.  Those who don't believe in that are simply not Americans, regardless of where they reside.

Another thing I like here is all of the campus reference tie-ins, and the way "Ravishment University" abreviates so conveniently to "Ravish-U".  And it probably is more female friendly of a term than "Rape".   One of the problems with the word "rape" is that, unlike eskimo's and their 100's of words for "snow", there are very few synonyms for "rape".  Kudo's to this admin for finding a good one that works.

Incidently, an awesome opportuinty exists right now at Wikipedia, the largest used-driven online dictionary.  The word "ravishment" is currently undefined, waiting for someone to write in a definition.  I was tempted, but at the risk of some bonehead running over there and typing in the Webster's definition, I would like to defer to Emily or another Admin to go define it---hopefully as something along the lines of "The art of sexually attacking a woman, best accomplished by someone who has been issued a degree from the presigious online school "RavishU.com".....

I doubt that Cleanfun4all would just make it up, why should he? But I'm not sure it was necessary to ban the member in question, who I noticed, had made over a thousand posts on RC. If it was a stupid prank, then why not give the person a chance to apologise to all those who got taken in.

HERE..HERE..I posted several times over the loss of El/Kellie..If she's alive and well I'm thrilled..I mean that would be kind of a cruel joke, but we have no idea what was behind it..If things were just explained then I think the majority of us would open our arms and welcome them/her back!! I'm just not the kind to abandon my friends!!
