BOULDER (KWGN) — A young mother in Boulder helped police arrest a man she said groped her as he rode by on his bike.

23-year-old Danika Bueno was riding her bike on 63rd and Valmont Road in Boulder last Friday with her 10-month-old strapped to her back.

She said a man on a bike rode up to her from behind and assaulted her by grabbing her chest. He then took off on his bike.

Bueno, an accomplished cyclist, called 911 and chased the man on her bike for more than a mile. "I'm pretty comfortable on a bike, but I was nervous about getting too close to him, you know I wanted to keep my distance but I felt like if I screamed or something someone would have heard me."

Police arrested 34-year-old Nathan Wood of Longmont on suspicion of unlawful sexual contact and child abuse.

So much oppression in our culture is based on shame about sex: the oppression of women, of cultural minorities, oppression in the name of the (presumably asexual) family, oppression of sexual minorities. We are all oppressed. We have all been taught, one way or another, that our desires, our bodies, our sexualities, are shameful. What better way to defeat oppression than to get together in communities and celebrate the wonders of sex?
