This is totally sick and unjustified. So many questions. Why was there a tape of the rape? Would that not be evidence for prosecution? What kind of church condones the rapist but condemns the victim?

Once I read Jehovah's Witness I knew the outcome of the investigation of of this trial. The only bigger "old boys club" in the religious world belong to the Catholic church, and we are well aware of how cases against them turn out. Sure she may win but they will tie the result up in litigation until the case is either reversed or the plaintiff can't afford to continue
In the Witnesses Elders take the word of fellow elders over lowly peons members and especially over females who have no standing in anything the church says or does. Sure they have reinstated her hoping all will be forgiven, her refusal to return and lawsuit against them will be a waste even if she wins. The tape of the rape alone guarantees her winning and that's why the church will disavow the existence of said tape and the voracity of it!
Time for the modern court to force the Witnesses to come into the current world and make a great sample of their outdated theories!
