NORTHWEST LEATHER CELEBRATION
WHAT: smOdyssey's first annual Leather tribe gathering and host of the third annual Northwest regional Master/slave contest

On the weekend of May 16-18 smOdyssey, Inc. (a 501c7 not-for-profit org) will be producing a brand new event called "Northwest Leather Celebration" (NWLC). The primary venue for NWLC is a full-service luxury hotel in the San Jose area. Everyone is welcome at NWLC! We are hoping that this event will grow to provide a favorite annual gathering place for all the leather tribes.
This event will also be the new home of the annual Northwest Master/slave contest. This contest is open to all orientations and genders. If you have been in a Master/slave relationship for more than a year, you are very much encouraged to consider serving in this capacity. The Northwest Leather Celebration event will feature a lot of nightlife! Friday evening's "Meet & Greet" will be sponsored by Santa Clara County Leather Association (SCCLA) at Renegades Leather Bar in San Jose, CA (approx. 5 miles from the host hotel). There will be play parties on both Friday and Saturday night at our local community dungeon, Edges (also approx 5 miles from the host hotel). In addition, the popular SouthBay women's bar, Club Savoy is less than one mile from the hotel hotel.
Saturday's activities will include educational seminars throughout the entire day, an indoor air-conditioned vendor fair, bootblacking, a catered step-down luncheon for the outgoing Northwest regional Master/slave titleholders (sponsored by Sindulgences of Sacramento), and of course the contest pageant and show early on Saturday evening!
Sacramento Valley Leathercorps (SVLC) will be performing Saturday evening's Color Guard ceremony and Mr. Alameda County Leather (ACL) will sing the national anthem. Miss San Jose Pride, MonAlot MooRe, will be performing a lively number in the show, and audience members will also enjoy the comedic talent of San Francisco's Mollena Williams. After the contest you can relax at our "Port and Cigars" poolside social or make a beeline for the play party at Edges community dungeon.
Sunday will feature a catered brunch and keynote speech by slave ziggy, International slave 2006. Select from two delicious entrees for brunch. After the brunch and keynote speech please join us for an open MAsT meeting led by Master Conrad, executive director of MAsT International ("Masters And slaves Together").
Online registration is open now; early birds (thru March 31) get a $10 discount! We hope to see as many kink community members in attendance at the event as possible so we are striving to keep costs low.
Sponsorships, advertising and other opportunities for active support are also available. We welcome involvement from every group in any way they might be willing. Everyone's participation is encouraged because this event is for us all!
