Hiya,
In a 2016 New Yorker piece, Maria Konnikova wrote "There are some experiences that almost all blocked writers have in common. Almost all of them experience flagging motivation ... They’re also less creative ... blocked individuals showed “low levels of positive and constructive mental imagery” ... They were less likely to daydream in constructive fashion ... The surprise was that these motivational and creative shortfalls expressed themselves differently for the different kinds of unhappy writers. The first, more anxious group felt unmotivated because of excessive self-criticism—nothing they produced was good enough".
Firstly, don't fall into the trap of excessive self-criticism. You will be your own worst critic, until you learn that everyone else you admire is, probably, also like that.
Secondly, don't fall into the subsequent trap of thinking nothing you produce is good enough. If we only wrote what we thought was good enough, then we'd all be missing some great works.
Lastly, daydream.
