Other search words besides Rape, for ebay?
« on: July 08, 2007, 08:40:19 PM »
I am always looking for good new Rape stuff on ebay. I am also now selling a bunch of Rape porn dvds there as well. Ebay won't allow mature audience (aka porn) categories to have Rape or several other terms used in the descriptions. So, I am wondering. If you were going to look for Rape porn on ebay what other words would you use to search with?

Why "ravish" or "ravishment" of course  >:D
So much oppression in our culture is based on shame about sex: the oppression of women, of cultural minorities, oppression in the name of the (presumably asexual) family, oppression of sexual minorities. We are all oppressed. We have all been taught, one way or another, that our desires, our bodies, our sexualities, are shameful. What better way to defeat oppression than to get together in communities and celebrate the wonders of sex?

Try "raped, raping, rapist".
"rapist" gets by the AOL chatroom censors.  They don't allow any chats to have "rape" or "raped", but all manner of "rapist" chatrooms are OK.

E-bay does suck.
Seems like they pull things off their site just because ANYBODY makes a complaint.
And, even when they are unjustified, there's no one to complain to, since, as you may already know, the technological marval that is E-bay, hasn't quite gotten the hang of how to arrange to have their telephone installed.

Here's an even better idea.....list your stuff here, and give us first dibs on bidding on them.

I am afraid Raped, Rapist, and Raping would probably get my listings pulled, if one of the administrators or whatever at ebay happened to check the listing. I have had them pulled for less. I would be happy to sell my stuff to anyone here also, I don't want to get all spammy though. I have used 'force' and 'USE' and 'have their way with' to try to make it clear to buyers what is entailed, but try to use it in a manner not to be blatant. Such as, rather than say "they force sex on them", I will put "they take the girls along for some forced fun" Any way, those are all some great ideas, Thanks! If anyone else has more ideas, for keywords to point people into our type of fantasies to listings, please add them. Thanks!

OK, here's an idea....
Ebay now allows you to put links to YouTube clips.  HINT at the rape scene in the e-bay listing, then upload a clip to youtube that, while G-rated, shows that a rape is clearly about to take place (then fade-to-black, making the viewer want more)

That should be legal under both e-bay and youtube policies, and still get the job done.

Getting the point across that the movies contain Rape scenes is not the problem. It is a matter of using the right keywords to allow people looking for this kind of stuff to find the listing at all. For example, even with a youtube link, how did the person get to the listing to even find the link in the first place?

Sorry 4 late reply - New and just found that...
Folks, FORGET about eBay!! They just restricted their "mature"-plocy, and i know from various well-informed people they've hired an entire army of public-moral-guardians 2 make sure ther's no adult stuff saled -- any prof DVD-merchant or so who is caught selling this stuff over eBay is banned, and U could even get worries searching for it -- thats why i complete broke w/ those a-holes, as i HATE censorship!! - And even more bigottrie, and believe me, the eBay.guys are the most bigott dirtbacks online!!
Sorry 4 strong language, but i cant restrain when talking about such idiocy... Only advice i can give is to search for stuff on littiler, more private sides, or on the Torrent/P2P-Network, which i use 99,9% anyway... anonym, secure, i find everything - and to top it off - dont pay a single dime (flatrate!) ;D

Um where did you get the idea that ebay is making sure there is no adult stuff sold. They have a "mature audience" category with subcategories for dvds, mags etc. If they wanted to get rid of all adult material, I think they would start by deleting the category.

I think Vivienne might have meant that they've hired a bunch of moral a-holes to make sure nothing 'adult' (meaning kinky) is sold in the mature category?

Vivienne, do you have any suggestions for other auction/bidding sites where PRED8HER could sell his videos at?

I cannot really claim im an xpert in that cause im gettin' all my adult-stuff 4 free in the Net and giv'it 4 free to others too... but im sure there are realtively secure, probably rather small porn-auction sites available where BB aint always watching U... Well, some folks here might have better detail-knowledge than I and could give hints?!

I have actually had some pretty good luck selling this stuff on Ebay. I have had a few listings deleted at times. When they did so, they reimbursed my listing fees and I just relisted the items again later, sometimes changing some wording, sometimes not. Although I don't really care for their policies in this regard, because I want to find and buy my Rape movies, I can't really say I dissaprove. They pay the bills so they can set whatever policies they like. Yahoo has similiar policies about Rape fantasy groups. Youtube and rapid share won't allow any adult material. If you don't like it, you are free to buy your own servers and start your own business any way you like. That doesn't mean I won't try to circumvent those policies. A real world example: I was at my friend Ebays house the other day for a dinner party. I started telling a story of a great movie I had seen called "Hot Summer in the City". When I got to the part about Rape, Ebay stopped me. He told me he didn't like the word Rape and I could not use it in his house. I asked if the word violate offended him. He said not at all. So, I started my story over again only I said violate instead of Rape. And we all lived happily ever after. There probably are other smaller auction sites that I could list my stuff on, and look for stuff on. But Ebay has more buyers and sellers and so I have a better chance of finding what I am looking for and can reach a lot more buyers looking for what I have. It's like someone could sell their products at a little mom and pop store in a little town or they could sell it through a nationwide chain. I also sell through mail order and via an email catalog/list, but Ebay also allows me to draw attention to that, so that people can find the ebay stuff and ask about other stuff I sell. Eventually I will set up my own website to sell from, but I will probably still list some stuff on ebay in order to draw more customers to the website.

In my dealings with eBay I've seen some people use them as a tool only; having a website that gives a full description and then either running private sales (that do not include the actual description of the item) or tying the auction to a premium (winner gets this piece of lint) knowing from the website that linked to the auction that the piece of lint is a cover for the porn.

I hope that was clear. :(

Okay Viv, I take back most everything I said in defense of Ebay. I was reading through the new posting policies. They don't allow links in profiles to other sites. You can no longer list an item and make mention in the listing of other items for offer that aren't listed on ebay or offer a list or catalog of other items. So, I can't list movies and with a note that if people are looking for any other titles to contact me as I may have them or be able to get them. Ebay just isn't the resource it was for me to attract other sales. It's a shame there are other sites evolving now (Ioffer, Bidville, etc.) which are not only more lenient of what people can list, but allow linking, and other options such as the ability to accept trades rather than sales. They are also all cheaper than Ebay is now and don't even charge a listing fee. The downside is of course the other sites are newer and havent gotten the press of Ebay and doesn't have their high traffic YET! Once more people start discovering them though I think they will end up taking a lot of business from Ebay.
