Jessica_33 graciously posted to me that I could post the music that I like in her topic "Jessica's Jukebox" and I politely declined for reasons I shall not go into. So to be fair it only right that I post my own music topic and show the eclectic taste that I have going through my mind and headphones as i post and write.
Not going to start with my obsession with The Coors or Girls Aloud, instead I'm going to begin with a group that further ignited my love of Classical music. Four lovely young ladies called Bond
if you would like to see more check out a full live performance from The Royal Albert Hall
-
Very nice!
-
Very good choice in music, Carhamgrater!
-
Oh loving this!!!!
-
November 28, 7:36 PM Casey Kasem introduced me to my first Brit crush, when he played Kim Wilde singing "Kids In America"- that crush has now turned into lust
-
Love her music, she’s now a gardening expert by all accounts.
-
So on series of forums I've been playing a former college Dj various music based games for the past ten years . In my time I've proven to her (She's in her mid thirties) that I can counter her song for song. Sometimes I even surprise myself Like when I found this one from Russian Band Serebro
can't understand a single word but the lyrics and music flows so hauntingly that I fell instantly in love with it!
-
Beautiful song ( and hot chicks too! ;D) ! Thanks for introducing us to some 'unconventional' music I wouldn't otherwise know even existed!
-
Don't get me wrong there are times when I like a stronger beat like Missing Hours "Machine" from Australia
or Mobile's "The Killer"
-
I really like both of those songs. The 'Machine' song is new to me, but I have heard 'Killer'. Really good stuff.
-
Different and thank you for letting us experience these. Both I’ve never heard before
-
Today's presentation comes from Iceland four young Ladies with a great sound that sing in both Icelandic and English
Their English hit that really spoke to me
-
So Tammy will stop hitting me- our favorite Russian Band Инь - Ян which translates to Yin Yan. A band that appeals to all, straight or gay alike!
which translates to "Don't Let Go Of My Hand"
And the video that would be banned in North America for violence against women
Highly recommend if you have some time to kill and want to see more current Russian acts check out
https://www.youtube.com/user/ELLO
-
Sexy!! You know how I feel about the Russians!!! Good taste.
-
Those women in YinYan are HOT! :emot_thedrool.gif:
-
Journey with me to New Zealand and give a listen to Opshop
-
A Song from 2002 that had me drooling when I found it! Gabriella Turner and Kim Wilde duetting on "Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime" or in the original German "Irgendwie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann"
-
Loving these gems!!! How would I ever know of these!
-
I love when the video is relevant to the lyrical content. This one bring the lyrics to life so well in allegory!
-
This is a great representation of the music I played in concert band in high school and what help shape my musical taste
-
Loving these gems!!!!
-
This song was found by me by accident when i was trying to find a video a cousin told me about. i was so impressed with two of the members that I sign up at the official band website and first meet "Ace" a college Dj from Orlando Florida who I've been playing music based games with for the last eleven years
-
most Americans and Europeans learned about Alanis Morissette from "Jagged Little Pill" fame. We Canadian call her our version of Paula Abdul!
-
One of the Eighties Canadian band that hit large then quickly faded to obscurity was Honeymoon Suite Pity since the had some good song!
-
Want to show you all one of my favorite irish Singers who started out a rockabilly goddess and reinvented herself after a cancer scare into a sultry singer. Miss Imelda May

Alanis back in her giving-Dave-Coulier-blowjobs-in-a-movie-theatre days! She was a little hottie then. I even had a bit of a celeb crush on her, although I didn't really listen to much of her music.
-
It's only right to keep am eye on the oppositions recruitment agents!
Almost worth turning good for!
-
Want to show you all one of my favorite irish Singers who started out a rockabilly goddess and reinvented herself after a cancer scare into a sultry singer. Miss Imelda May
and
Imelda May is actually very good, heard of her before.
-
I'm sure you all can remember your very first single, Record, Eight track, cassette, Cd, MPs- you name the format. I had to eat ten boxes of "Sugar Crisp" to get the boxtop required to send away with a quarter to get The Sugar Bears first album in 1972. Mike Settle was the main male singer while background and main female vocals were by Kim Carnes (Yes she of Bette Davis Eyes Fame!). This was the only chart hit for the group "You Are The One
and here you can listen to the whole album
-
Having grown up in that period of the early '70s, I'm surprised I don't remember this.......but I don't. Sugary cereals were a treat in our household, I was more of a Shreddies, Cheerios, Rice Krispies kinda kid. Pretty cool though, I likely did hear this song at one time as a kid but just don't remember it. Good find, carhamgrater!
-
So by know i think i shown that I can pervert song lyrics for my own use, This is one of the easiest song every to pervert. A beautiful song by Dr. Hook "A Little Bit More"
So I like to take the word love out of the chorus and replace it with Rape
When your body's had enough of me
And I'm layin' flat out on the floor
When you think I've raped you all I can
I'm gonna rape you a little bit more
-
I've learnt never to underestimate your ability to pervert anything! Really enjoying everyone's taste in music. I think it goes to show that even though our ages are so different music is one of those things that unites us all
-
There's time when i love sitting back and just letting a unique voice and style lull me into a good mood. The fact that she's adorable to look at get's me there faster. Presenting From England, via Georgia Russia, Ireland -Miss Katie melua with "Nine Million Bicycles"
-
She has a cool voice!
-
Loved that song!!!
-
So you don't think I only listen to females and pop rock, easy listening allow me to present two songs by one of my favorite Canadian hard rock acts...
and a cover by them
-
Saw these guys in concert in 1995 on the 'Teeth and Tissue' tour! What a show! And they did both of those songs. Good picks, carhamgrater! My favorite part of the concert, the Headstones did an impromptu cover of the Tragically Hip's "New Orleans Is Sinking'. At the end of the song, Hugh Dillon says, "Fuck you, Gord Downie! The Hip ain't the only band out of Kingston!" The crowd just loved it!
-
Going to Scotland for this presentation by Texas with the only song to receive airplay in Toronto but was never on the charts!
-
I've never heard of these guys! But they're good.
-
Diving back to when I was seven when i first heard of The Stampeders a group from Canada considered One of the best ever produced that stayed in Canada!
And the song that cemented me a fan for life!
-
When in a particular nasty mood it's usually easy to get me to at least smile by playing anything by Ray Stevens
One of my favorites
Something that proves what a lyrical genius Mr. Stevens is!
-
Wow never heard that before thank you for sharing.
-
I've never heard those ones before either. :emot_rotf.gif:
-
Bugged at work last night because the music I programmed into the P.A. belong to a teen trapped in the late 90's, early 00's. Even a few on this site has wondered if musical senility has set in! I don't apologize fr my love of Steps!
near the end of the first run
What they sound like when they returned in 2017
-
There are times when good country songs bring me out of funks
and
-
I never thought "When I Grow Up!" I want to listen to Garbage!
Now in my old age i can't get enough Garbage!
-
I love listening to unique voices sing and Joss Stone had one and the ability to use it!
-
Joss Stone can have me any day! :emot_thedrool.gif:
-
Darklord posted Enya' Orinoco Flow which to me is a little bland after hearing the cover by Celtic Woman with the full vocal harmonization and orchestration!
-

Beautiful!

I have a habit of finding weird offbeat artists and video like Cartoons or Cartoons DK from Denmark whose love for the rockabilly of the late fifties early sixties inspired their look and sound! Their first hit was Ross Bagdasarian "Witch Doctor" Followed by an original song "Aisy Waisy" both which will be presented
and
-

Great memories from the 1990s! This was always my favorite from Amanda Marshall.

Back in my youth i was lucky to see Lita Ford live in a small venue show and fell in lust for her instantly
-
One of my favorites from her. A buddy gave me one of her albums for Christmas one year. 'Dancin' on the Edge'. I think it was 1984. Was a good album, and featured Randy Castillo on drums in her backup band. He later ended up playing drums for Ozzy. I always really liked her.
-
Been spending most of the summer so far letting Tammy's niece and nephew go through my collections of music sources. They came upon an Estonia band called Vanilla Ninja who they fell in love with for different reasons!

-
Jessica_33 got me in a nostalgic mood, going to play the anthem of my youth.A Canadian band whose lyrics spoke to me deeply
-
This video is rather special in that it was one of the last done with original Prism vocalist Ron Tabak before his untimely death in the summer of 1980. I really liked this song too. I was 14 when it came out. Prism was one of my favorite Canadian bands at the time, they had just released the great album, 'Armageddon', the year before. My personal fave by Prism, however, is the title track of their 1978 album, "See Forever Eyes". I love that song!
-
Nothing like a little punk princess to brighten some moods!
-
So I've been sharing music posted here with a former college DJ. in Florida on another site, so it's only fair that I share her finds with you here!

I am putting their music in background while writing story from now on :-X

Been in isolation since March 15th and my girlfriend's new room has been teaching me British Entertainment while I reciprocate teaching her Canadian entertainment. Now in my opinion, i come out ahead in the lessons as she has shown me Louisa Johnson, the winner of X-Factor 2015
(https://i.ibb.co/WGz9FBg/background-2018-mob.jpg) (https://ibb.co/FmYvJ8g)
then had to put up with Olly Murs the runner up or 2009's X-Factor
Who did a duet with Louisa on "Unpredictable"
-
I've heard of her, but never any of her music! Good choice!
-
Some new stuff on me, but some nice jams
I’m sure you only like her for her contribution to Canadian music lol
-
Going Down Under for Abby Christo an Australian country music artists Who is "Cooler Than me
And someone who I would like to read her "Body Language"
-
Every now and then an artist covers a song and totally owns it. This is a perfect example of that. The original was meant to stir your emotions but this cover if you listen and apply it to today's situation should scare the living hell out of you!
Disturbed- Sound Of Silence
The original by Simon and Garfunkel from 1964
-
Very relevant to the times for sure, Graham!
-
Love Sound Of Silence didn’t know Disturbed made a version.
Thanks for posting

I love the music of the big band era from the late 20's to early 50's and have really gotten into the modernization of the the music by Former Stray Cats front man Brian Setzer and his version of a big band.
Jump jive An' Wail
Getting In The Mood
-
I've always liked Brian Setzer going right back to his Stray Cats days in the early '80s.
-
For 25 years my girlfriend has been trying to get me to listen to her 'metal music' and like a true pop rocker i have refused vehemently! Lat night at work she tricked me when she played the follwoing two tunes over the Tannoy system, Eluveitie an Swiss folk metal band
The Call Of Mountains
and
Omnos
Then this one played and i remember why i don't listen to her music!
Rebirth
-
Back In Canada in the nineties to present Wild Strawberries
"Bet You Think I'm Lonely"
followed by "Trampoline"
-
Hey, I saw Eluveitie live last year :) A little bit, at least - I was more interested in another band playing at the same time. I caught Inis Mona at least, which is their best song. Omnos is a close second, even though they are very different. They sing in a dead language called Gaulish (in addition to English, obviously).
-
For a little over three weeks after getting out of the ICU i was forced to listen to the hospital radio station (C.R.A.P. radio) that overplay this song until the point I figured out how to must the speaker with a pillow and medical tape!

hey i can't help it if you British are weird people! I just find and post them- you're the one who call then a national treasure!
-
Listening to the first two verses of this one from 1984, makes you think that Bob, Nigel and Dave had a vision that it would mean just as much in these Covid times as it did to the Africans back in the day
-
Lately I have to say that I have been listening to a lot more K-Pop recently since getting KMTV to stream! One band I really like to date Refund Sisters with "Don't Touch Me" Can't understand many of the words but the mouths it comes out of i would love to translate!
And I really love Blackpink with "Lovesick Girls"
-
Not bad at all! Even if some of the lyrics are hard to understand, they do certainly have the eye candy factor!
-
Needed something to pick up my spirits today!
-

So by now you are all aware how eclectic my musical tastes are. One of my favorite artist sings or should i say croons like the old time singers of the 40's- 60's but in a modern twist- Presenting Michael Bublé
Home- his first big hit
Haven't met You Yet
Can't Help Falling In Love
-
I actually don't mind Michael Bublé that much myself. He has some good songs and it's nice how he is able to have that old time crooner's singing style but like you said with a modern twist.
-
Cheers Graham been awhile since I’ve sat down to listen to Buble, supposedly a gentleman in RL
Thank you!
-
Posting earlier in "Theme Music" got me thinking of a inger from Western Canada who sang the theme song for the animated special that lead to the weekly cartoon "The Raccoons" her name is Lisa Lougheed!

Juanes- La Camisa negra (The Black Shirt)
